"Trimode Studio" and the art of Daring to Be Different

Formed from a group of three experienced designers (hence the Tri) - Ni Shinpanu Athichathanabodi, Hong Pirada and Yok Paradi Seniwong Na Ayuthaya - Trimode Studio is a curious mix of three tastes of style. While Ni is a package designer, the twins does interior decorating and jewellery design. A place where differences meet, the studio as a result produces work that is happily quirky.

The studio produces everything from jewellery to furniture, from interior decors to graphic arts and branding. Giving most value to ideas and experiments, the three designers work together to bring about creativity and transcend the boundaries in design. Trends they disregard, looking forward into the future with an unclouded vision for a breakthrough in arts. The designers also like to mix traditional Thai in with universal contemporary.

A philosophy to work by: ideas and experiments. The trio never shrink from trying out ideas and always like a good dare. They like to break through the walls and open up a space for new creations. Attention to details is their dedication.

Trimode first started out when the trio separated after college. Having taken different jobs, they soon realised that their true vocation is in design and wasted no time in opening a studio of their own. Despite the professional difference, they are hardly at odds with one another: Ni is usually the one to initiate, whereas Hong picks up information and details and Yok will turn abstract ideas into concrete works.

As a tiny studio with only 5 employees, they work very efficiently in the presence of the others - customers can come in and theyll all be there to talk with. The studio grew quickly and consistently from that point.

The customers success is also Trimodes. Several global and local brands have enlisted the studio to head their designing projects, including W Hotel, Hilton, Bonchon, Singha, Flynow, Greyhound etc. Trimode has won at several designing prizes, among which are from Elle Decoration and DEmark, and had been featured in several international and local publications.

Trimode has come a long way: today, they are a giant studio. To make the work directions more solid, they branched off into three sectors: Trimode Studio for interior decor and furniture, Trimode Accessories for jewellery and fashion, and TRIMODE.C for lifestyle products.

Daring characterises Trimodes identity. The designers love what they are doing and are willing to invest heart and soul. They have come a long way, but the path never stops to open up for them, for all their dedication and innovation.
